Content is key, everyone knows that. But, the unfortunate part is that if your content cannot be easily consumed within seconds, than all is lost. In an age where information is so readily available, how you present that information, and the experience it gives your user, is the difference between success and failure.
Enter the graphic designer. They key indicator of good design is not how nice apiece looks, but rather how effective it is at delivering a message, a feeling, an experience. How well can it effectively convey information that attracts, is easy to digest, interpret, and navigate is the real purpose to design. It must be engaging, and intuitive, as well as pleasing and informative.
Ten years in the design industry has brought me through many projects ranging from print production, to digital media design, corporate branding to UX/UI interface design, video editing and social media campaigns, and what I’ve learned is the true key to beautiful, successful design is marrying form with function without the viewer even knowing. Each project is different, and each answer is different, but solving that problem is a passion that excites me with every new project, and I can’t wait to start on the next one.
